Works fine in Windows though: Therefore no suitable video device for cheese, camorama etc. Hi Dennis, This bug was reported a while ago and there hasn’t been any activity in it recently. Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we may not be able to fix it before Fedora 10 is end of life. Can you try with the latest development release of Ubuntu?

Once you’ve tested the upstream kernel, please remove the ‘needs- upstream- testing’ tag. This bug affects 4 people. The microscope is not recognized by the UVC driver and I have not tried any other driver or hack jpassion patch yet.

The next thing to try is the upstream kernel testing. While the new Ubuntu seems to be great, there’s still no luck with getting the USB microscope working. If you wish for this bug to remain open because you plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the ‘version’ to a later Fedora version prior to Fedora 10’s end of life.
